The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc. a Fitchburg human service agency serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is currently in need of an attorney or paralegal volunteer to serve on our Human Rights Committee. Human Rights protection is an integral part of IPPI’s support of adults with disabilities. Committee members review and evaluate restrictive practices within behavior plans, the use of supportive and protective devices to ensure safety and health, and review restraint data and practice. The Committee collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and influences best practices in these areas.
The committee meets four times each calendar year; the third Tuesday of every other month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 pm.
