The Institute’s Mental Health Outpatient Clinic for children and adults, with locations in Meriden and Hamden Connecticut, specializes in trauma-informed treatment for adolescents, adults and families. The clinic is licensed and approved by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and the Department of Public Health.

We offer a wide range of therapeutic and behavioral services and for both individuals and groups. Our clinicians offer evidence based, trauma informed practices and recovery strategies geared to enhance the emotional well being of children, adults and families.

We provide treatment services to:

  • Those who have experienced chronic / developmental trauma
  • Those whose family member has been the victim of a homicide
  • Those who are coping with loss and grief
  • Those who have experienced out of home care
  • Children / youth re-entering the community after institutional care
  • LGBT youth and adults
  • Youth and adults identified and at-risk of or in recovery from human trafficking
  • Children / youth of incarcerated parents
  • Children / youth who are experiencing school difficulties because of behavioral difficulties
  • Children / youth who are on the autism spectrum and experiencing behavioral difficulties
  • Individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
