 Mid-Atlantic Human Service Corp., Baltimore, MD, is a division of The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc. of Vermont, a private, non-profit corporation with principal interests in serving individuals with developmental and other disabilities. Mid-Atlantic Human Service Corp. has been a licensed provider of the Developmental Disabilities Administration in Maryland since 1998, offering residential, educational, and technical services. Mid-Atlantic now supports over 50 individuals who have autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, intellectual disabilities, complex medical needs, psychiatric disorders, dual diagnoses and social-emotional maladjustment.

Office Manager -  Responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Office Manager will report directly to the State Director and will be responsible for providing office management services to the organization. This includes all administrative tasks, maintaining office records, managing vendor contracts, processing petty cash, ordering of office supplies, managing the application process, updating reports,  initial setup of BGE, Comcast, and Verizon for group homes, filing, managing the front desk, greeting and directing visitors and additional tasks as delegated.

REQUIREMENTS - A minimum of 3 years as a Office Manager, AP/AR experience, strong telephone skills, excellent verbal and written communication ability, positive self-motivation. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Facility Coordinator: Reports to the Project Director. The Facility Coordinator is responsible for the total management and oversight of group home locations. The Facility Coordinator will coordinate the residential and day services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, some of whom are also dually diagnosed. This is a full time position, working Monday through Friday with 24 hour on-call responsibility. A flexible schedule is required based on the needs of the agency, and may include weekend, evening, and holiday hours.

The Facility Coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

*Responsible for staffing, operations, and coordination of maintenance of assigned locations.
*Manage group home staff to ensure operational efficiency, and a high quality of service.
*Provide hands-on training and instruction of new employees.
*Responsible for the development, organization, and implementation of the IP.
*Ensure proper documentation of data.

Requirements:

1. Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and detail oriented.
2. Strong organizational, follow-up and multi-task ability.
3. Good communication and writing skills.
4. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with family members and external advocates.
5. Computer Literate: Ms Office Applications.

Residential Counselor - Baltimore/Hartford County: MUST have CNA. F/T and P/T, Weekend, Afternoon, and Overnight Shifts available. The Residential Counselor is responsible for providing direct supports to medically fragile individuals that we serve, in a group home setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CNA REQUIRED
  • Valid Driver's License, clean criminal background and driving record.
  • High School Diploma.


Preferred Requirements:

  • 3 years of direct support experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Residential Instructor: MAHSC/MD is currently searching for Residential Instructors for various shifts. The Residential Instructor will provide direct care, support, and training to the individual served by MAHSC. Residential Instructors will comply with all the legal, ethical, and licensing regulations of the corporation, participate in the design and implementation of services as prescribed in the Individual Plan for each individual in the program and complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Residential Instructor/Floater: MAHSC/MD is currently searching for a 40 hour per week Residential Instructor/Floater . The candidate will need to be available for a flexible schedule that will include days, nights and weekends. Every effort is made to develop a schedule in advance but may be subject to change. This position is reimbursed at a higher rate due to the need for flexibility and in experience in multiple areas. Floating Instructors will comply with all legal, ethical, and licensing regulations of the corporation, participate in the implementation of services as prescribed in the Individual Plan for each individual in the program and complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Qualifications: Prior training related to care/services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or nursing home experience.
